Chick-fil-A Acquires First Florida Distribution Center

Chick-fil-A recently acquired a 207,335-square-foot warehouse in Weston, Florida for $50.5 million. The purchase was made by the company’s distribution and supply division as part of its expansion plans.

According to reports from the South Florida Business Journal, the warehouse located at 3225 Meridian Parkway was sold by Cabot Properties, a Boston-based real estate firm. The sale price equates to $244 per square foot and marks Chick-fil-A’s first distribution center in Florida.

The facility is situated on a 15.8-acre site and features amenities such as a clear height of 35 feet, 24 dock doors and ample parking with space for up to150 vehicles.

Cabot Properties describes itself as an experienced private partnership that specializes in acquiring, developing and managing logistics real estate properties in major cities around the world.

This latest acquisition is another step towards Chick-fil-A’s continued growth strategy which includes opening new restaurants across various regions including South Florida where it has seen significant success. Currently operating seven distribution centers nationwide (none of which are located in Florida), this move marks an important milestone for Chick-fil-A as it expands its presence within one of America’s most vibrant commercial hubs.
