Knickpoint Ventures has announced the addition of Shawn Papazian as its newest partner to oversee all studio-related endeavors, including The Fields Studios, Chicago’s first purpose-built film studio set to open in early 2024.
The Fields Studio is a redevelopment project of the former Marshall Fields warehouse property on Chicago’s Northwest Side. It will feature nine sound stages across two lots totaling 132,000 square feet and more than 350,000 square feet dedicated to creative and production offices.
Papazian brings over 25 years of experience with design, development operations and management for motion picture and television studios along with his Emmy-nominated producer credentials from Warner Bros. and Raw Feed productions.
Zain Koita – Founder & Managing Partner at Knickpoint Ventures – commented: “Shawn’s vast credentials overseeing studio spaces combined with his experience as a producer make him an ideal partner for Knickpoint Ventures.”
