Nexamp, a leading national solar provider, has chosen Chicago, Illinois as the location for its second national headquarters. By 2026, Nexamp plans to hire an additional 50 team members in Chicago and expand its presence in the Midwest region. This expansion is part of Nexamp’s commitment to invest over $2 billion in Illinois through ongoing projects and development initiatives.
Governor JB Pritzker praised Illinois’ dedication to sustainable energy and recognized Nexamp’s decision to establish a headquarters in Chicago as a testament to the state’s leadership role in promoting solar energy on a national level.
In 2019, Nexamp opened its first office in Chicago where it specializes in building community solar and storage projects that contribute renewable energy back into the power grid. As part of their partnership with the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), Nexamp has created new construction management positions exclusively for candidates who qualify under Equity Eligible Persons criteria residing within Greater Chicago.
