Chicago’s beloved hot dog chain, Portillo’s Inc., has announced plans to expand its presence with nine new restaurants set to open in 2024. This expansion is part of the company’s goal to reach a total of 920 locations nationwide within the next two decades.

Currently operating in 84 locations across multiple states including Arizona, Florida, Illinois and Texas – where they opened four new restaurants last year – this fast-casual chain has strong roots in Chicago since its first hot dog stand known as “The Dog House” opened back in1963 on North Avenue in Villa Park.
