Chicago-Based Pine Tree Acquires Cincinnati Retail Center for $80 Million

Pine Tree, a commercial real estate firm based in Chicago, has recently completed the purchase of Kenwood Square shopping center in Cincinnati, Ohio for $80 million. This 460,893-square-foot property is strategically located near the highly successful Kenwood Towne Center and boasts popular retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, T.J. Maxx and Ulta Beauty.

The acquisition was part of a larger deal where Pine Tree partnered with a state pension fund to acquire six open-air shopping centers for $495 million. With an impressive 95% occupancy rate and over 2.5 million square feet of retail space across Florida, Ohio, Phoenix and Oregon under its management now brings Pine Tree’s total assets to nearly $2.5 billion.
