Bally’s Chicago, the city’s first casino, opened its doors to patrons this past weekend. Located in River North, the temporary casino is a precursor to Bally’s larger and permanent complex at the nearby Chicago Tribune building site. Featuring 800 slot machines, 50 card tables and two restaurants – including a VIP/high roller level on the third floor – Bally’s promises that both their temporary and permanent casinos will create more than 3,000 construction jobs annually as well as 3,000 operational positions while providing world-class entertainment for all of Chicago.
Construction on Bally’s 777 West Chicago Avenue facility will begin in 2024 with plans for a 500-room hotel; 3 400 slot machines; 173 table games; 10 food venues; an expansive 20 000 square foot museum venue plus a 3000 seat entertainment center. As one of Illinois’ most anticipated openings this year – be sure not to miss out!
