Check Out the Exciting New 25-Story Student Housing Tower Coming Soon to the U District! CA Ventures is moving forward with a proposed 25-story, 221-unit student housing project in the University District of Seattle. Located at 1205 NE 50th St., the site was purchased by CA Ventures for $16.5 million and is a block west of their recently completed apartment project with Safeway. GGLO serves as the project architect while DCI Engineers and Navix Engineering are also on board. The former Walgreens store will be transformed into an open space next to the new tower according to plans submitted by CA Ventures which state that “The building’s massing is carefully crafted to relate to its immediate context and contribute towards creating a tower language of exuberance through tactile materials, livable terraces, and open spaces at setbacks.” Seattle’s design board has scheduled a review of this proposal for April 24th.
