"Charlotte Area Town Considers 400K SF Mixed-Use Project"

Pappas Properties is seeking to rezone a 98-acre plot of land in Mooresville, located near Lake Norman just north of Charlotte. The proposed development, named Mooresville Village, would include both residential and commercial elements totaling up to 400,000 square feet.

The rezoning request has already been recommended for approval by the planning staff in Mooresville. According to town documents, the project will be developed in four phases. The first phase will focus on residential uses while the second and third phases will feature a mix of multifamily housing and retail/grocery spaces.

In addition to these mixed-use areas, there are plans for a fourth phase that will prioritize “higher-intensity” retail and office uses. This final phase may also incorporate a hotel as well as more multifamily developments within its boundaries.

Overall, Pappas Properties’ proposal presents an exciting opportunity for growth and development within this Charlotte-area town.
