The Lantana Apartments, a 216-unit project in San Marcos, is nearing completion after facing challenges due to Covid-19, lockdowns, inclement weather and supply-chain disruptions. Despite these obstacles, Mission Development Group’s Mark Tolley remains optimistic as the team persevered through hard work to bring this project to fruition. The anticipated completion date for the apartment complex is October.
Residents of Lantana Apartments can look forward to amenities such as a pickleball court, walking trails and access to a pool and gym. According to Community Impact reports from June 2020 when San Marcos City Council approved low-income housing tax credits with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the project’s development by Mortgage Co. LLC partnered with Mission Development Group LLC.
The $30 million Federal Housing Administration Construction Loan obtained by Mortgage Co. LLC will help fund this affordable housing initiative that offers units subsidized through low-income housing tax credits. With various unit options available at Lantana Apartments upon its opening soon in October; it will be an exciting addition for residents seeking quality living accommodations at an affordable price point without compromising on amenities or location convenience.
