Certares and HHM Hotels have recently completed the acquisition of Carté Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton for a reported sum of $250 million. The 246-key lifestyle hotel, which opened its doors in 2019, is situated in the vibrant Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego.
According to Certares’ senior managing director Nolan Hecht, this deal aligns with their strategy to invest in top-notch experiential real estate located in thriving major markets. He also expressed excitement about expanding their presence in San Diego through this purchase and continuing their partnership with HHM Hotels.
The transaction was directly negotiated between Certares and HHM with Carté Hotel Partners as the seller.
