Centennial Yards Breaks Ground on New Concert Venue

The development team behind Centennial Yards is moving forward with its plans for a new sports and entertainment hotspot in downtown Atlanta—a state-of-the-art, 5,300-seat concert venue. The project is expected to cost just over $6 million for its structural framework and exterior construction.

Designed to rise four stories, the venue will feature tiered seating, a premium lounge, and nearly 140,000 square feet of space. Ground-level retail options will add to the dynamic, mixed-use environment. Live Nation Entertainment has signed a lease to operate the venue, bringing top-tier talent and performances to the heart of Atlanta.

Set against a backdrop of major facilities like State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which already host large-scale concerts and events, the new venue contributes to the city’s growing entertainment corridor. It is expected to open its doors in 2027.

This concert venue is part of the $5 billion Centennial Yards development—a 50-acre urban revitalization initiative aimed at transforming downtown Atlanta. Master developer CIM is leading the project that will ultimately include office space, retail, entertainment options, and thousands of new residential units.
