Construction is set to begin early next year on a new Scheels sporting goods store at CedarView, a 117-acre mixed-use development near the H-E-B Center in Texas. The property will also feature a 30,000-square-foot convention center and a 250-key hotel, as well as the future addition of Nebraska Furniture Mart’s expansive 1.2 million-square-foot store alongside Scheels.
The first Texas location for Scheels opened in The Colony in 2020 and now Cedar Park will welcome its second location. Spanning over two levels and encompassing approximately 250,000 square feet of space within the development’s total of seventy-five specialty shops, this new store promises to offer an expertly curated selection of products for sports enthusiasts.
In addition to its extensive retail offerings, visitors can look forward to family-friendly attractions such as a towering Ferris wheel standing at sixty-five feet tall; an impressive sixteen thousand-gallon saltwater aquarium; interactive arcade games and sports simulators; along with indulgent treats from both candy shop and cafe options.
Scheels has recently expanded into Arizona with their first location opening earlier this month at Macerich’s Chandler Fashion Center – boasting similar features including their signature Ferris wheel attraction – further solidifying their position as leaders within the sporting goods industry.
