Cedar Park Approves Incentive Package for Flying Car Supplier

The City Council of Cedar Park has approved a $1.2 million incentive package for Wright One, a company working on next-generation propulsion technology critical to the development of flying cars. The agreement stipulates that Wright One will create 164 new jobs and invest $15.5 million in capital improvements within the city.

Wright One is eyeing a lease at the Brushy Creek Corporate Park, located at 1200 BMC Drive, where it plans to occupy an 18,085-square-foot facility. The company, currently based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is developing the Wright Turbine—a high-efficiency propulsion engine with potential applications in aerial transportation technology.

According to Community Impact, Cedar Park stands to gain an estimated $5.5 million in taxable sales from Wright One over the next several years, highlighting the potential economic benefits of welcoming innovative tech-based companies to the city.
