Howard University and the development team of Quadrangle and Capstone Development have selected CBRE as their leasing partner for the National Research Center for Health Disparities (NRCHD). This project will provide laboratory and office space to innovators in science and medicine, allowing them to develop solutions that address diseases disproportionately affecting marginalized communities. The first phase of this endeavor has received zoning approval, constructing 179,000 square feet with potential expansion in future phases.
This is a personal mission of Howard University President Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick who seeks to address health disparities through this initiative as well as investments planned into a new hospital, health sciences complex, and STEM center. CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic Life Sciences practice will support these efforts by providing expertise on the NRCHD project specifically..
