"CBRE Chosen as Leasing Partner for Minneapolis Hub by Mortenson and UMFREA"

Mortenson and the University of Minnesota Foundation Real Estate Advisors (UMFREA) have chosen CBRE to be their leasing partner for the first phase of The Minnesota Innovation Exchange. This 12-acre development in the Twin Cities is set to become a hub for innovation and economic growth.

According to Dan Lessor, Vice President of Development at Mortenson, CBRE is an excellent addition to their project team. With both national and local expertise, as well as a shared enthusiasm for this project’s significance in Minnesota, they are a perfect fit alongside UMFREA, Mortenson, and HGA.

Once completed, The MIX will offer approximately three million square feet designated for various uses such as research and development facilities; spaces dedicated to innovation; multifamily housing options; hospitality venues; retail spaces; among others.

Leading UMFREA’s efforts on this project is Pat Mascia who serves as Managing Director. He works closely with Mortenson’s Dan Lessor (Vice President of Real Estate Development), Brent Webb (Business Development Executive), Bob Solfelt (Principal in Charge). On behalf of CBRE’s leasing team are Bowen Arnoldusen along with Jerry Driessen who serves as First Vice President.
