OPEN Impact Real Estate successfully facilitated a 50,000-square-foot expansion for Catholic Guardian Services in the Bronx. As one of New York’s leading human services agencies, Catholic Guardian offers various programs to support over 1,500 clients and families in the Bronx including child welfare, mental health services and assistance for unaccompanied children.
The transaction was divided into two parts: a 10-year lease extension for the East Bronx Program Hub at 1990 Westchester Avenue and a 5-year extension for the Central Bronx Program and Administrative Hub at 1780 Grand Concourse. These extensions will provide ample space of approximately25,000 square feet each to accommodate client-facing programs.
Stephen Powers, Lindsay Ornstein , Jake Cinti ,and Julia Fish from OPEN worked closely with Craig Longley – CEO of Catholic Guardian – to secure both leases. Christopher Betting and Dean Rosenzweig from CBRE represented the landlord in this transaction at1990 Westchester Avenue while OPEN represented both parties involved inthe deal at1780 Grand Concourse.
