Catellus Set to Kickoff $257M Colony Park Development

Catellus Development has been working on the Colony Park project for over a decade, and now it is finally gaining momentum. This ambitious development aims to transform 208 acres of city-owned land in Austin’s Eastern Crescent into a vibrant mixed-use community.

According to reports from the Austin Business Journal, Catellus Development, based in California, is seeking approval from City Hall to update the existing planned unit development (PUD) zoning for Colony Park. This change would allow for higher density and enable the construction of 2,000-3,000 new housing units. The location is also strategically located less than 10 miles north of Tesla Inc.’s gigafactory.
