**Carter and Front Street Capital Break Ground on Creekside at The Grounds Student Housing**
Carter and Front Street Capital have officially broken ground on Creekside at The Grounds, a new student apartment community set to become the first vertical development within the mixed-use district known as The Grounds in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Located within a 100-acre development overlooking the recently restored Silas Creek, Creekside at The Grounds is adjacent to Wake Forest University and part of the city’s vibrant sports and entertainment district. The project is specifically designed to serve upperclassmen and graduate students.
The new community will feature 229 fully furnished units offering a total of 521 beds. Each bedroom will include a private bathroom, and the community will provide a comprehensive list of amenities, including:
– A clubhouse with private study rooms
– Fitness center
– Outdoor swimming pool
– Outdoor kitchen and entertainment area
Initial sitework and grading have begun, with construction officially underway. The development is scheduled for completion in Fall 2027. The Preston Partnership is the project architect, and Brasfield & Gorrie is serving as the general contractor. Financial backing for the project comes from Kayne Anderson Real Estate and Truist Financial Corporation.
