**Carroll Companies Expands Presence in Downtown Greensboro with New Hotel and Mixed-Use Development**
Carroll Companies has officially broken ground on a new hotel and mixed-use development in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. Located at the intersection of Eugene Street and Bellemeade Street, the project is adjacent to the existing parking deck on the corner, which will be integrated into the overall design.
The development, named “Carroll at Parkside,” will be anchored by a nine-story AC Marriott Hotel featuring 159 rooms. The hotel will include Greensboro’s only rooftop restaurant, giving guests a unique dining experience and panoramic views of the city. In addition to accommodations, plans also call for retail and event space to complement the hospitality offering. The estimated cost of the hotel is $67 million.
A second phase of the project is also in the works and will add 337 residential apartments, 16,000 square feet of retail space, and a 4,500-square-foot event space, further contributing to the revitalization of downtown Greensboro.
Carroll Companies’ contributions to the area date back to 2006, beginning with the transformation of the Center Pointe building—located next to Center City Park—into upscale residential apartments. This was followed by the development of 300 luxury apartments overlooking the local ballpark on Bellemeade Street, which eventually led to the addition of a Hyatt Place hotel.
With this latest endeavor, Carroll Companies continues to shape the evolving skyline and urban experience of Greensboro.
