Carrier Global Corporation intends to invest more than $600 million over the next three years to establish a new advanced manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth, Texas. The planned facility will span approximately one million square feet and will be developed within Hillwood’s AllianceTexas master-planned industrial and logistics development.
The state-of-the-art complex is designed to support Carrier’s domestic manufacturing platform and reflects the company’s confidence in the long-term growth of its business. As the largest U.S.-headquartered company in its industry, Carrier is using the project to reinforce its commitment to expanding production capacity in the United States rather than relying on offshore manufacturing.
The new Fort Worth facility will focus on advanced thermal management systems that serve a range of commercial and institutional uses. Carrier plans to manufacture air-cooled and water-cooled commercial chillers at the site, along with other systems aimed at helping customers address energy efficiency and climate-control requirements.
The investment is intended to support growing demand for intelligent climate and energy solutions across multiple end-user sectors. Targeted customer verticals include data centers, healthcare, education, industrial users and other key markets that require large-scale, mission-critical climate control and thermal management infrastructure.
Carrier expects to begin operations at the AllianceTexas facility in 2027, adding significant advanced manufacturing and engineering capacity to its existing network. The company anticipates creating approximately 1,500 jobs at the site, including roles in advanced manufacturing, engineering and related support functions.
By planting a large-scale, technology-focused manufacturing operation in Fort Worth, Carrier is aligning its production footprint with the continued build-out of energy-intensive and climate-sensitive assets such as data centers and healthcare campuses. The long-term ramp-up of the facility will add to the industrial base in the AllianceTexas development and expand the region’s employment and skills profile in advanced manufacturing.
