Carl Hansen & Son, a Danish furniture company with 115 years of history, has leased 9063 square feet of space at the Hammacher Schlemmer Building in Midtown. The location at 145 East 57th Street will serve as Carl Hansen’s flagship retail store and showroom in the US.
Since 1926, this space had been home to Hammacher Schlemmer – an internationally known American furniture retailer and catalog company founded in 1848. In February 2023, the brand moved out from its headquarters here after nearly a century since 1926.
John Brod, Mark Tergesen and Benjamin Waller from ABS Partners Real Estate represented the landlord BiC 57th Street LLC and 145 East 57th Street Associates LLC while Atlantic Retail NYC brokers Evan Clements and Amanda Keller represented Carl Hansen & Son as tenant for this lease deal.
