Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. announced on Thursday that it has secured a long-term lease with CARGO Therapeutics for 99,557 square feet of space at 835 Industrial Road within the Alexandria Center for Life Science – San Carlos campus. The lease is set to begin in early 2024.
CARGO, which recently completed an IPO and raised approximately $291 million, specializes in developing next-generation cell therapies for cancer patients. The successful IPO surpassed CARGO’s initial target of $281.3 million.
The leasing professionals involved in this transaction were not disclosed by Pasadena-based Alexandria. Currently, the San Carlos campus boasts over 737,000 square feet of operational space.
