**Capstone Development Selected for New Student Housing at University of Virginia**
The University of Virginia (UVA) has selected Capstone Development Partners to develop new upper-class student housing on campus.
Capstone will lead the project in partnership with Elkus Manfredi Architects and a joint-venture construction team consisting of Hoar Construction and Hourigan.
Slated for completion in time for the fall 2027 academic term, the project will provide housing for approximately 780 students and will feature apartment-style living.
The development will be located in UVA’s Emmet Ivy Corridor, at the intersection of Copeley Road and Ivy Road. It will include three new residential buildings totaling 310,000 square feet across five and six stories. The complex will also incorporate a 19,000-square-foot dining and retail component.
This student housing initiative is a collaborative effort between the University of Virginia and Capstone Development Partners, which will serve as the fee developer overseeing the design and construction. Project financing is being provided by the University.
