### CAPREIT Acquires Coastal Village Student Housing in Fort Myers

CAPREIT has acquired Coastal Village, a 200-home, 800-bed student housing community in South Fort Myers.

Located at 19401 Skidmore Way, Coastal Village offers convenient access to Florida Gulf Coast University, a Division I college with approximately 16,000 students. This marks CAPREIT’s entry into the student housing sector.

Originally built in 2004, Coastal Village is a pet-friendly community featuring fully furnished homes, each with four private bedrooms. Residents have access to amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool, fire pit, resident lounge, coffee bar, private study spaces, and an on-site fitness center. Each apartment home also includes a private patio or balcony.

CAPREIT, known for its market-rate and workforce housing portfolio, has recently expanded into new real estate sectors. Prior to this acquisition, the company entered the single-family, build-to-rent market with the 2024 purchase of Baldwin Chase in Greenville, South Carolina.
