Canyon Ranch, a Fort Worth-based spa developer and its investor VICI, have announced plans to construct a new luxury wellness resort near Lake Travis. The $121 million project is set to begin construction later this year according to state filings. Canyon Ranch Austin will be the fifth all-inclusive wellness resort in their portfolio, joining locations in Tucson, Lenox, Massachusetts, Woodside and Las Vegas.
The 223,700-square-foot building will feature guest lodging along with amenities such as a spa, fitness center and medical clinic. Dining options and administrative facilities will also be included.
Construction is scheduled to start in August of this year with an expected completion date of July 2026.
In addition to the new Lake Travis location, Canyon Ranch recently opened its first members-only wellness club in Fort Worth with plans for a second club opening soon in Houston.
