California Forever Plan Qualifies for November Ballot in Solano County

The proposed East Solano Plan, also known as the Homes, Jobs and Clean Energy Initiative, has been approved for inclusion on the November ballot in Solano County. The plan aims to construct a new city in eastern Solano County with a population of up to 400,000 people.

According to reports from reputable sources such as the San Francisco Standard and Los Angeles Times , California Forever’s investors – including Marc Andreessen of Andreessen Horowitz – have released a list of benefits that this project will bring. These include creating at least 15,000 jobs and providing $500 million for housing down payments, scholarships and other resident benefits.

At its June 25 meeting, the county Board of Supervisors will consider placing the initiative on the ballot or ordering an impact assessment report before doing so.
