**California People and Company News – Week of August 1, 2025**

**JLL** has appointed Robert Koshgarian as National Director of Sports and Entertainment within its Project and Development Services division. Based in the Los Angeles area, Koshgarian will lead a diverse range of projects including professional sports venues, collegiate assets, and youth and developmental program spaces nationwide.

**Matthews Real Estate Investment Services** welcomed commercial real estate debt and equity specialist Chase Calderon as First Vice President. Based in Encino, Calderon joins the Matthews Capital Markets Division, where he will deliver commercial financing solutions for various asset types across the country.

**Standard Communities**, a national leader in multifamily housing ownership and development, has named Christiana Hollis as Managing Director, Strategy and Operations. Operating out of Los Angeles, Hollis will oversee enterprise-wide strategy development, cross-functional initiatives, and process optimization to support the company’s growth trajectory.

**Trinity Investments**, a Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm specializing in hospitality, has promoted Stephany Chen to Head of Investor Relations. Formerly the SVP of Acquisitions, Chen joined Trinity in July 2024 following over a decade with JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality Group.

**HKS**, a global design firm, has appointed Mitra Memari as Regional Director for Community in the Americas West Region. Based in Los Angeles, Memari will lead strategic growth initiatives and coordinate regional efforts across the firm’s Health, Education and Life Science practices.

**Greysteel** has named Cody Cannon as Senior Vice President and Market Executive. In his new dual role, Cannon will lead the firm’s national manufactured housing team with an emphasis on growing market share in California, while also overseeing day-to-day operations in Southern California.

**PEG** announced that Garett Bjorkman has been named CEO. Cameron Gunter, founder of the company, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, focusing on PEG’s strategic direction. Bjorkman previously headed a $10-billion real estate credit platform at CIM Group and launched a $2.5-billion private wealth-focused real estate and infrastructure initiative.

**FortressFire**, a wildfire analytics and property-specific risk management provider, appointed Hemant Shah as Vice Chairman of the Board and Senior Advisor. Shah is the founder and former CEO of Risk Management Solutions, a catastrophe risk modeling firm acquired by Moody’s Corporation in 2021.

**Arup**, a global firm specializing in engineering, consulting, and design for the built environment, has named Scott Russell as Managing Director of the Americas region. Also joining the regional leadership team are Melissa Burton as Americas Total Design Leader and Jenny Buckley as Americas Business and Markets Leader.
