**Caesars Entertainment to Transform Harveys Lake Tahoe into Caesars Republic After $160M Renovation**
Caesars Entertainment has announced plans to rebrand and renovate Harveys Lake Tahoe into Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino. The extensive renovation project, estimated at $160 million, will upgrade accommodations, dining, and gaming amenities across the resort. The revamp is set to begin this summer, with the official rebrand taking effect on July 1. The resort will remain operational throughout the transition.
The 1.6 million-square-foot property will undergo a full transformation led by the Marnell Companies design firm. Renovations will begin at the hotel lobby and extend through the casino and guest rooms.
As part of the update, all rooms in the Remus Tower—previously known as the Mountain Tower—will be completely remodeled. The Romulus Tower, formerly known as the Tahoe Tower, was fully renovated in 2020 and will also receive additional enhancements.
The renovation project will continue in phases through 2025, with construction pausing during the peak summer season. The full transformation is expected to be completed by mid-2026.
