**C.W. Driver Completes Affordable Student Housing at Cal State Northridge**
C.W. Driver Companies, a California-based builder specializing in educational facilities, has completed construction of two new student housing buildings at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Valued at $56 million, the project includes Joshua Tree Hall and Hibiscus Hall, which together add 198 new beds in dual-occupancy rooms.
This development represents the first approved affordable student housing project within the California State University system, addressing a growing demand for accessible campus housing across the state.
Both buildings rise four stories, with residential spaces occupying the top three floors. Joshua Tree Hall features community spaces, study areas, and a large multi-purpose room. Hibiscus Hall includes administrative offices for housing operations, mail services, and additional communal gathering areas.
“The demand for student housing is high for universities across California,” said John Kately, project executive at C.W. Driver. “It was a pleasure to collaborate with CSUN to deliver two robust housing facilities that tailor to the needs of all students.”
