Burned-Out LV Apartments: The Resilient Rebirth

The Kaktus Life Apartments in Las Vegas were set to have 608 rooms, 5,000 square feet of retail space, and a luxurious amenity package. However, in June of 2023, the complex was destroyed by a devastating fire when it was already 75% complete. The project had an estimated cost of $90 million and many considered it to be the most destructive fire in the town’s history. Strong winds reaching speeds of up to 30 mph only fueled the flames.

Despite initial concerns about foul play being involved, no evidence was found and TRU Development -the company behind the project- made plans to rebuild. The new development is expected to closely resemble its original design.

TRU Development Company is headquartered in Las Vegas with expertise in various types of real estate development including retail spaces, offices hotels as well as residential properties. With over ten thousand units developed across low-rise,mid-rise,and high-rise buildings combined with extensive knowledge on real estate development, the management at TRU has established itself as one of industry leaders.
