Burlington Coat Factory Opens New Store in Deerfield, IL at Bed Bath & Beyond

A bankruptcy court auction of leases for the home furnishings retailer has resulted in a Bed Bath & Beyond store located at 96 S. Waukegan Road in Deerfield, Illinois being converted into a Burlington Coat Factory store. Gateway Fairview Inc. won the bid to take over the store’s lease as part of an auction that saw 353 Bed Bath & Beyond stores ranging from 18,000 square feet to 92,000 square feet and 108 Buy Buy Baby stores ranging from 14,000 square feet to 63,000 square feet put up for sale by A&G Real Estate Partners. Burlington Coat Factory was particularly active during this process and successfully acquired 44 leases with an aggregate value of $12 million.
