Burger Chain to Open 22 Locations in Phoenix Area

Smalls Sliders, the mini-burger joint backed by former footballer Drew Brees, is expanding its franchise presence with 22 new locations in Arizona. The burger chain’s parent company Purple Square Management (PSM) already operates over 250 franchises across the country.

The group has set its sights on opening the first Phoenix store by mid-2025, followed closely by additional locations in surrounding areas such as Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler and Tempe. PSM is actively seeking out potential development sites for these new stores.

Each Smalls location spans just 800 square feet – slightly smaller than a typical Dutch Brothers Coffee shop – and features a prefabricated modular design topped with a decorative recycled shipping container. These drive-thru only establishments require minimal real estate and can easily fit on just one-third of an acre if shared parking arrangements are made with neighboring shopping centers or grocery stores.

In 2019, Smalls Sliders debuted their signature ‘Smorange’ colored store concept to great success.
