Bulley & Andrews, a national construction firm, has acquired Interior Construction Group, a general contractor focused on interior build-outs and headquartered in Chicago. The transaction is positioned by Bulley & Andrews as part of its long-term strategic growth plan and is intended to broaden the company’s reach in the interior construction segment.
Following the acquisition, the business will operate under the name Bulley & Andrews Interior Construction Group. The newly branded unit will continue to serve clients from Interior Construction Group’s existing downtown Chicago office, maintaining its current location and client-facing presence in the city’s core business district.
Leadership continuity is a central feature of the integration. Interior Construction Group founders Steve Zuwala and Mike Lynk will remain in place to lead the business, providing an ongoing point of contact for clients and industry partners that have worked with the firm under its prior structure. Their continued involvement is intended to preserve institutional knowledge and existing relationships while the company transitions to its new ownership.
Bulley & Andrews Chief Operating Officer Tim Puntillo described the acquisition as a deliberate move within the firm’s long-term strategy. He characterized the deal as an example of the company’s commitment to measured growth that can create additional opportunities for employees and broaden the range of services available to clients.
As part of the integration process, Bulley & Andrews plans to support the Bulley & Andrews Interior Construction Group team with expanded organizational resources and leadership. Over time, the two organizations are expected to move toward deeper integration, combining Bulley & Andrews’ broader construction platform with Interior Construction Group’s specialized expertise in interior work.
The acquisition underscores the role of specialized interior construction services within the broader commercial construction landscape. By bringing Interior Construction Group under its umbrella, Bulley & Andrews is aiming to align its national capabilities with a focused interior construction operation rooted in downtown Chicago, while signaling its intention to continue expanding service lines that support client demand for interior build-outs and related projects.
