Boston-based real estate firm Rise has struck a deal for a 123-acre site in Braintree, where it plans to build an expansive campus dedicated to movie and television productions. According to the Boston Business Journal, Rise has entered into a purchase-and-sale agreement with Onshore Properties of Boston for Banner Park. The development will encompass 272,500 square feet of office and industrial space that includes sound stages as well as pre- and post production facilities.
This move marks an exciting new direction for Rise which is known primarily for its residential buildings in the Greater Boston area but is now branching out through its proposed development at Sullivan Square in Charlestown which features life sciences labs, offices, residences and more.
“It’s not often we have the chance to work on such dynamic campuses with movie studio components,” said Herby Duverné , founder of Rise . “Braintree is an amazing community so we look forward engaging our neighbors as this project progresses.” Rendering courtesy of Gensler .
