Buckingham Brings on 30-Year Real Estate Private Equity Veteran as CIO

Buckingham Companies, an Indianapolis-based, national vertically integrated real estate development and investment company has hired Benjamin J. Young as CIO and managing director. Young will lead Buckingham’s asset management and investment division as the company expands its successes in institutional capital raising, client engagement, and investment performance.

Young is a prominent real estate private equity investor with over three decades of experience in the field. Most recently he was responsible for Blackrock’s U.S Real Estate Private Equity business where he managed $11 billion worth of investments across core value-add opportunities to opportunistic investments while also leading the firm’s first closed-end value add fund launch initiative .
