"Brookfield Place Welcomes Jane Street Capital's Expansion to Almost 1 Million Square Feet"

According to reports, Jane Street Capital, a quantitative trading firm, has recently renewed and expanded its lease at 250 Vesey St. in Lower Manhattan. The property is part of the Brookfield Place complex and Jane Street has been a tenant since 2014.

Last October, Bloomberg News and the New York Post reported that Jane Street was looking to expand its largest office in New York City. Currently occupying around 500,000 square feet at 250 Vesey St., the company considered taking additional space at neighboring building 300 Vesey St., according to sources.

The deal was handled by a team from Brookfield including Duncan McCuaig, Mikael Nahmias, Hayley Shoener and Daniel Roberts on behalf of ownership. Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Lowe,Gus Field,and Jon Herman represented Jane Street in negotiations.The company declined to comment on the matter.

This news comes as Connect CRE reports thatJaneStreetCapitalhas increased their occupancy by nearly one million square feetatBrookfieldPlace.
