Bonhams Auction House to Move to Steinway Hall in Late 2025

In late 2025, Bonhams, a renowned and large auction house, will move its flagship location in New York City to the historic Steinway Hall at 111 W. 57th St. The new space will span over four levels and include two spacious auction rooms within its 42,000 square feet.

The building at 111 W.57th is made up of two structures: the iconic Steinway Hall which was once home to Steinway & Sons piano company and now houses Bonhams; and a newly constructed tower that stands at an impressive height of 1,428 feet – making it the second tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere. During the development of this project by SHoP architects, Bonhams will relocate to both Steinway Hall as well as its formal reception hall located within a six-story atrium.

Representing Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance Inc., JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group were Newmark’s Jackie Totolo,Pierce Thompson Adam Weinblatt,and Robert Cohen while Kenji Otaand Jennifer Konefsky from Cushman & Wakefield represented Bonhams during this relocation process.
