### Bob’s Discount Furniture to Take Over Six Former Bed, Bath & Beyond Locations in North Carolina
Filling the void left by the closure of 900 Bed, Bath & Beyond stores nationwide will take time, but one retailer is making moves to occupy the vacant spaces.
Bob’s Discount Furniture is set to open a new store this summer in Winston-Salem at 1020 Hanes Mall Boulevard. According to the *Triad Business Journal*, the company recently signed a 10-year lease for a 37,340-square-foot space in the Hanes Point Shopping Center. Bob’s plans to invest $500,000 in renovations to prepare the location.
In addition to the Winston-Salem store, Bob’s Discount Furniture will open five other locations in North Carolina, repurposing former Bed, Bath & Beyond sites in Durham, Cary, Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Jacksonville.
These new stores will be supported by Bob’s existing distribution infrastructure and third-party delivery partnerships. Currently, the company operates nearly 200 stores across the U.S., with a strong presence in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and West Coast regions. The nearest store to North Carolina is located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
