BMO has appointed Darrel Hackett as U.S. CEO of BMO Financial Group, president & CEO of BMO Harris Bank N.A., and CEO of its U.S holding company, BMO Financial Corp., based in Chicago effective June 1st, 2021. Joining the bank in 2004, Hackett has served clients through various leadership roles within the organization and community including head of North American Integrated Channels team and President for Wealth Management – U.S..
This appointment follows Dave Casper’s retirement announcement who joined the bank with its acquisition of Harris Bank back in 1984 leading commercial banking business since 2010 across North America before becoming US CEO since 2018; he will become board chairman upon his retirement from this role at BMO Financial Group .
