Blake Management Group is planning a new resort-style senior living community in the Lake View Acres neighborhood of College Station. Known as The Blake, the two-story project is designed as a senior housing option that combines assisted living and memory care services on a single campus. The development is planned for Harvey Mitchell Parkway South and represents a $23 million investment in new senior housing capacity for the area.
The Blake College Station will feature a total of 117 units. The unit mix will consist of 73 licensed assisted living units and 44 memory care units, creating a combined offering that is intended to serve seniors with varying levels of support needs. Within the memory care component, the community will focus on residents living with Alzheimer's disease and related cognitive conditions, pairing residential accommodations with specialized care services.
The project's program emphasizes a hospitality-forward approach to senior housing operations. Planned services at The Blake include full dining offerings, fitness programming, concierge-style assistance and on-site laundry services. These amenities are designed to support residents' daily living requirements while also positioning the property as a resort-style alternative within the assisted living and memory care segment.
Construction on The Blake in College Station is expected to conclude in early 2028, positioning the community for delivery later in the decade. The timing adds new purpose-built senior housing supply to the market on a multi-year horizon, rather than as an immediate addition to current inventory.
The Blake College Station marks Blake Management Group's fourth development in Texas, underscoring the company's ongoing expansion within the state. In addition to the College Station project, the company has locations in Waco, Tyler and New Braunfels, and it also operates eight other communities nationwide. The new project extends the operator's geographic footprint in Texas while adding another assisted living and memory care asset to its growing portfolio.
