Blackstone Expands Charlotte Industrial Footprint with $24M Huntersville Acquisition
Blackstone Inc. (NYSE: BX) has acquired a 168,480-square-foot industrial building in Huntersville, North Carolina, for $24 million. The property, located at 11920 Vanstory Drive, is leased to Big Beverages Contract Manufacturing.
The asset was previously owned by Cabot Properties, which purchased the building in 2020 for $16.4 million from its original developer, Scannell Properties. Completed in 2019, the building is part of the larger Park-Huntersville industrial development.
This acquisition adds to Blackstone’s growing presence in the greater Charlotte industrial market through its Link Logistics platform. Recent activity includes a $49.5 million purchase of the Charlotte Intermodal Logistics Center near Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the acquisition of the Crossroads Distribution Center in Southwest Charlotte for over $81 million. Link Logistics has also been active in ground-up development projects in Mooresville and other parts of Charlotte.
The latest acquisition underscores Blackstone’s continued investment in the region’s thriving industrial sector as demand for logistics and warehouse space remains strong.
