**Bionova Scientific Plans $100M Facility in The Woodlands**

Bionova Scientific, a biotechnology company, is set to develop a 70,000-square-foot facility in The Woodlands.

The new facility, located at 2625 Research Forest Drive, will feature offices, laboratories, clean rooms, and shell spaces for future build-outs.

According to the *Houston Business Journal*, Montgomery County commissioners approved a tax abatement program for the project in May 2024. Under the agreement, Bionova’s county property taxes will be fully abated from 2026 to 2029. The abatement will then decrease to 80% in 2030, 60% in 2031, and 40% in 2032.

Bionova plans to invest $100 million in the facility, with $56.1 million allocated for construction, which is set to begin in May. An additional $45.8 million will go toward fixed personal property, which includes essential infrastructure within the building. The company also announced plans to hire 57 employees for the new location.
