**BH Properties Launches Haven Housing Multifamily Investment Platform**
BH Properties, a privately held and vertically integrated real estate investment firm based in Los Angeles, has launched Haven Housing—a new multifamily investment platform aimed at acquiring, enhancing, and operating both market-rate and affordable communities across the western United States.
The launch coincides with the appointment of industry veteran Connor Mortland as Managing Director and Head of Affordable Housing Acquisitions. Based in San Diego, Mortland will lead the platform’s efforts in sourcing and acquiring workforce and affordable housing opportunities.
Haven Housing’s acquisition strategy will focus on garden-style communities with 100 units or more that offer value-add potential. High-barrier, high-demand markets are key targets, particularly Class A and B properties located in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Utah. The platform launches with an initial seed portfolio of 2,500 units.
Mortland brings nearly eight years of experience in multifamily acquisitions and asset management. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Investments at Avanath Capital Management, where he led acquisitions totaling more than 4,300 units with a combined value exceeding $1 billion.
