BH Properties, a real estate investment company focused on adding value to properties, has recently opened a new regional office in San Francisco. The firm has appointed Peter Horn as managing director of acquisitions to lead their expansion in the Bay Area.
“We have been actively seeking opportunities to grow our presence in the Bay Area and our recent acquisitions of Anchorage Square and Holy Names University’s former campus in Oakland have allowed us to do just that,” said Jim Brooks, president of BH Properties based out of Los Angeles. “Peter is an experienced investor with strong relationships and knowledge that will help us uncover new opportunities throughout Northern California.”
Horn joins BH Properties after 11 years at Soma Capital Partners where he served as partner and head of investments. During his time there, he successfully sourced, structured, and closed value-add investments while also handling financing, asset management,and dispositions. Throughout his career,Horn has completed over $1 billion worthof transactions both as a general partnerand limited partner.

This comes with great news too; they’ve brought onboard seasoned real estate investment veteran Peter Horn who will serveas Managing Director for Acquisitions leading their growth strategy across the entire bay area.

Mr.Horns’ background includes being Partner & Head Of Investments at Soma Capital Partners (SF-based) where he spent 11 years sourcing, structuring and closing value-add investments with follow-on responsibilities that included financing, asset management and dispositions. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than $1 billion in transaction volume in both GP and LP positions.
