**Berlin Packaging Relocating Headquarters to Merchandise Mart**
Berlin Packaging, a global packaging supplier, is relocating its corporate headquarters from the West Loop to Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. The new office, encompassing 38,600 square feet, will be located at 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza.
The iconic 3.7 million-square-foot Merchandise Mart, owned by Vornado Realty Trust, spans two city blocks and rises 25 stories. The lease transaction was brokered by Andy Heymann of Cushman & Wakefield, while leasing for the Mart is handled by Andrea Saewitz, Wendy Katz, and Ben Cleveland of Stream Realty.
Berlin Packaging currently occupies a 34,000-square-foot space at 525 W. Monroe Street, with a lease running through August 2026. Details regarding the terms of the new lease at the Merchandise Mart have not been disclosed.
This move marks another significant tenant addition to the Merchandise Mart, following Geico’s earlier lease of nearly 19,000 square feet earlier this year.
