"Berklee Takes Over Former TB12 Location in Boston's Back Bay"

Berklee, a renowned music college, has recently secured a prime retail and office space at 699 Boylston St. in Boston’s Back Bay area. This location is conveniently close to the main campus and spans over 9,271 square feet.

The street-level space was previously occupied by TB12 but will now undergo renovations to become state-of-the-art dance studios. In addition to this, the lower level of the building will house Melo – a new retail concept offering smoothies and açaí bowls for both students and the public.

Freudenheim Partners worked closely with Ted Chryssicas from Newmark to fulfill Berklee’s complex requirements for this space. They ensured that it not only met their needs for dance studios but also aligned with their overall urban campus strategy.

According to Ellie Cullinan, EVP at Freudenheim Partners: “The adaptability of this space was crucial in meeting Berklee’s needs while also providing students with much-needed touch-down areas throughout their spread-out urban campus.” She also praised Erin McCabe and her team for being great collaborators during this process.

Overall, Freudenheim Partners is proud to have played an important role in enhancing Berklee’s facilities through securing this prime location in Boston’s Back Bay area.
