### Belk Expands Outlet Concept to North Carolina Stores
Belk is introducing its outlet concept at two of its Atlanta locations. The Charlotte-based retailer will bring this new retail format to Eastridge Mall in Gastonia and Triangle Town Center Mall in Raleigh.
Both locations currently house two-floor Belk stores. Under the new plan, the ground level will be converted into outlet space, while the traditional Belk stores will continue to operate on the second floor. The openings are scheduled for the spring.
With the recent launch of an outlet location at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, Belk now operates three outlet stores in North Carolina. According to reports, these outlets offer high-end national designer brands alongside Belk’s own labels, with discounts ranging from 60% to 85%. In total, Belk has opened 17 outlet stores and operates 300 locations nationwide.
In July 2024, Belk completed a restructuring process that reduced nearly $1 billion in debt and secured $485 million in new capital.
