Becovic Management Group has announced a partnership with Preservation of Affordable Housing, Inc. (POAH) to support the $27 million renovation of the Heart of Northside Apartments. According to Jenny Drabant, Director of Leasing at Becovic Management Group, this collaboration reflects their dedication to sustaining and enhancing the communities they serve. By teaming up with POAH, they can ensure that residents in Northside have continued access to top-quality and affordable housing in a thriving neighborhood.
The project will involve renovating 103 units across five properties located at 927 W. Wilson, 900 W. Windsor, 847 W.Sunnyside ,4437 N.Clifton ,and4130 N.Kenmore . Construction is set to begin in January 2025 and is expectedto be completed by the endof that year.
As part of this partnership,Becovic has designated34 unitsin Uptown ,Edgewater,and Rogers Park for temporary housing for POAH residents duringthe renovations.The first phaseof constructionwill take placeat927W.Wilsonin January2025,followedbytherestoftheprojectbeingcompletedbytheyear’send.This collaboration showcases both companies’ commitmentto providing high-qualityaffordablehousingforresidentsontheNorthSide.Throughthispartnership,theHeartofNorthsideApartmentswillbeabletobettermeettheneedsoftheircommunityandcontinuetothriveasastrongneighborhoodforyearscometocome.
