Fluor Corporation announced on Thursday the completion of Bayer AG’s $250 million Cell Therapy Launch Facility, located within the biotechnology campus in Berkeley. With a total investment of approximately $500 million over five years, this facility marks an important step for Bayer in advancing their cell therapy capabilities.
According to Stefan Oelrich, president of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals Division, “This new facility is crucial in bringing our investment in cell therapies to fruition and providing patients worldwide with effective treatments.” By targeting underlying causes or promoting natural healing processes within the body, cell therapies offer promising solutions for various medical conditions such as neurological degenerative disorders and cardiovascular disease.
