Banyan Street Capital Launches $8M Renovation of 1250 H Street Office Building in Washington, D.C.

Banyan Street Capital has initiated an $8 million capital improvement project at 1250 H Street, a 199,016-square-foot office building located in the East End submarket of Washington, D.C.

Originally constructed in 1992 and acquired by Banyan in late 2024, the property stands at the corner of H Street and 13th Street. The capital improvements will involve a range of upgrades, including a completely redesigned two-story lobby, new exterior enhancements, and the addition of a 140-person conference and lounge amenity. These features will complement the building’s existing offerings, which include a full-service gym and outdoor rooftop amenity space.

Conveniently located just one block from Metro Center Station and a few blocks from landmarks such as the White House, CityCenterDC, and Capital One Arena, the building is well-positioned to attract a variety of tenants. Banyan Street Capital is managing the property and overseeing the renovations directly. Cushman & Wakefield’s Phil Dickinson, John Benziger, and Chris Getz are leading leasing efforts, while Collective Architects designed the building’s new lobby.
